Euro Pet Transport is a small family run business, based in the Algarve, Portugal. Our vehicles are inspected regularly and are approved as being Defra compliant and issued with Type 2 Animal Transport Authorisation, required for all road journeys including those over 8 hours.
Our transport is designed so that all crates are accessible from inside the vehicle, ensuring not only a safe environment but also that the pet carer has continuous contact with all the animals and can easily maintain a high level of hygiene. Every animal is treated as an individual therefore please advise us if your pet has any particular needs or medical requirements. For those that are anxious or wary of their neighbours, we can section off crates to provide a less stimulating environment. Cats are never positioned where they can be intimidated by other pets and will be positioned in a favoured high position to minimise stress. Our tinted windows can be viewed from every crate, as in our experience, dogs and cats travel better when they can see what is going on around them.
Everything is provided for your pets - clean, comfortable bedding, fresh drinking water, good quality food and litter trays for our feline passengers. We make regular stops at safe and quiet locations to walk dogs, using our own slip leads however if you prefer, you may attach a dog harness for your pet to wear during the journey.
All trips to and from the UK travel via the Eurotunnel, allowing us to remain with your pets at all times.

Prices and Payment
Prices are dependant on collection and drop off locations. We aim to offer a door to door service enroute from the Algarve to France and throughout most of the UK, but this is dependent on existing bookings and your location. Therefore please contact us with your requirements so that we can provide you with a no-obligation quote.
We accept payment by bank transfer or other method by private arrangement. Bank details will be provided once booking has been confirmed and receipts are issued once funds are cleared.
Terms and Conditions
To secure a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at time of booking. This amount will be retained for administration costs in the event of a cancellation. Places cannot be guaranteed unless a deposit has been paid.
Full payment must be made at least 10 working days prior to collection. Funds must be cleared therefore please ensure adequate time if paying by cheque or bank transfer from a foreign bank account.
In event of cancellation made more than 21 days before departure, a full refund will be given minus the 25% deposit, which will be retained by Euro Pet Transport for administration costs.
Cancellations made 14 days or less before departure will not be entitled to a refund. Pets may be transferred to an alternative date at the discretion of Euro Pet Transport however this is dependant on availability and not guaranteed.
Should pets require emergency treatment during transport, all costs remain the responsibility of the customer. All reasonable measures will be taken to obtain authorisation of the customer prior to treatment being sought.
All animals must be clinically examined by a vet no more than 14 days prior to departure and deemed fit to travel. This must be documented in the PET passport. Any pets that fail to meet this requirement will unfortunately be unable to travel.
Unless otherwise requested, Euro Pet Transport will provide regular food, water, exercise (for dogs), cat litter and clean bedding. Pets will be transported in a clean and hygienic environment and will not be left unattended.
Photos of pets may be taken and displayed on the Euro Pet Transport website (www.europettransport.com). Customers have the right to object to this and may do so either in writing or verbally.
